Winter, spring, summer or fall, New Brunswick is known for adventure! Using your Grand Lake cottage as a base of operations, you can do just about any recreational activity you want. There are golf courses, whale watching excursions, horseback riding adventures, and historical sights to see nearby. You can easily take a day trip to any of the natural wonders in the area, like the reversing tides, magnetic hill or the Hopewell rocks. With plenty of snow and sunshine during the winter months, New Brunswick is one of the best places in Canada for snowmobiling, cross country skiing or snowshoeing.

Fun facts:

  • New Brunswick has the warmest summers in Canada.
  • New Brunswick has some of the sunniest places in Atlantic Canada. Across New Brunswick in an average year, sunless days number only 75 and sunny days number between 140 and 160.
  • On average, the maximum snow depth in New Brunswick during the winter is 30 to 49 centimetres (research from 1979 to 1997). Continuous snow cover usually begins in December and stays on the ground until the end of March, which explains why so many tourists come here to snowmobile.
